Steam Community, Cast Page, CS For Kids aftermath

Community News 10 Comments »

Hi everyone. Just a basic update for now. I thought it’d be a good time to remind everyone of our Steam Community page. We consistently post announcements whenever there’s an update on a new video release or if we need extras for a movie’s filming. Chances of needing extras for a movie won’t be anytime soon though, as we’re unsure of what we’ll be making next. But still, please take a quick moment to join our Janus Syndicate steam community page for updates.

Next on the list is The Cast page. If you haven’t noticed it before, it’s simply explaining who the majority of reoccurring people seen and heard in our videos are, where they came from, how they got to be in our little group, etc. If you scroll down to near the bottom, I’ve added the lengthiest explanation for the largest enigma of all – Crackbone. If you’ve seen both Gman Squad Episode 4 and CS For Kids, you’ll see how he’s becoming more of a reoccurring character in our videos. He’s usually in Zombie Panic servers. So I decided to include him in The Cast page as it’s not the last you’ll hear of him in our videos and I thought it’d be important to explain a thing or two about him and how he’s becoming a regular in our group here. Also, he’s not acting in those ventrilo recordings, that’s really how he acts on a normal basis. He’s pretty crazy.

Finally, a quick note on CS For Kids. All I can say is wow! It’s officially our first video to ever make the top rated, top favorited, and top viewed on Youtube for over a full day, I know we’re getting a few #1 spots for the weekly categories too. I just wanted to say how glad I am to see how everyone is liking it and how I was so surprised to see how the video’s popularity grew so fast overnight. Thank you all for making it possible and for those who posted it on forums, etc. Will keep you guys updated on what we’re doing next. Expect more site updates to come.

Counter-Strike For Kids RELEASED

Machinima News 86 Comments »

It’s a humorous/spoof video about a fake retail mod called “CS For Kids”, with its aim to recreate Counter-Strike Source for the younger audience. Made in Garrysmod 10 and Counter-Strike Source. The Downloads area has been updated accordingly in the audio section, while most of the custom game content seen in this video can be found by searching on www.fpsbanana.com and www.garrysmod.org.

New CS:S fake ad spoof video “CS For Kids” coming this Wednesday

Machinima News 12 Comments »

On July 23rd, expect to see a new short video release. It’s a fake spoof commercial for a make believe Counter-Strike product – CS For Kids. After this is finished, who knows what’ll come next. I like doing these smaller projects and ones that don’t demand such heavy effort, so I might try something else like a couple tutorial/retrospective videos next, and then back to the usual larger scale machinima projects. Here’s a sneak peak:

Gman Squad Episode 4 coming July 10th

Machinima News 8 Comments »

Mark your calendars. The release of the next Gman Squad episode will be this July 10th. Will probably be a long, long time till the next episode after this one, as I’d like to tackle other large scale machinima projects. This episode is a little different from what has been the traditional approach, but I think it’ll end up being one of the best.
